It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Margaret Keeping announces her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 at the age of 87 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her husband of 69 years: Arthur Chesley Keeping; children: Elmo (Sandra) of Corner Brook, Boyd (Norma) of Corner Brook, Shirley (Stewart Sparkes) of Toronto, Lorne (Linda) of Corner Brook, Audrey (Roger MacDonald) of Corner Brook, Yvonne (Bill Marks) of Corner Brook, Eileen (Ken Best) of Corner Brook, Ruby (Gerald) Callahan of British Columbia, Barry of Corner Brook, Rick (Tanya) of Irishtown; twenty-five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers: Harry and Morris; sisters: Minnie and Rowena; grand-daughter: Angela Best; and parents: Benjamin and Blanche Collins. Visitation will be held at Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 and Thursday, February 14, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Friday, February 15, 2008 at 2 pm from The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street with Major and Mrs. Kean officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to The Salvation Army Memorial Fund or to the Palliative Care Unit at Western Memorial Hospital.
