ARTHURS, ROYDEN DANIEL - Royden Daniel Arthurs went home to be with his Lord and Savior on September 23, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1925 in Saint John to the late Daniel and Myrtle (Train) Arthurs. Royden worked for Saint John Shipbuilding as a marine electrician for over 35 years, retiring in 1996. He was a member of the St. Martins Lodge and an avid coin and stamp collector. He enjoyed fishing gardening, poetry and spending time with family and friends. Royden is survived by his wife Marjorie (nee Seely) of 54 years, his only son David and daughter-in-law Pauline of Nerepis; three grandchildren Jamie, Jacob and Jenny; sisters Dorothy and Connie (Walter); brother Joseph (Dawn); step-mother Ella Arthurs; sisters-in-law Sharon and Jean; brother-in-law Murray; nieces, nephews and friends. Besides his parents Royden was predeceased by his son John Arthurs; sisters Alice and Joan; brother Donnie and brother-in-law Dr. Michael Thomson. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Thursday September 25, 2008 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday September 26, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
