JOHN KENNETH POUNTNEY

POUNTNEY, JOHN KENNETH - Maces Bay, passed away Thursday, September 25th, 2008, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on May 5, 1930 in Saint John, he was the son of the late Benjamin Charles and Nellie May (Walton) Pountney. John was a Longshoreman and Commercial Fisherman for most of his life. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and especially his animals. He is survived by his sisters, Marjorie Phillips, Saint John; Cathy (Percy) Densmore, Rothesay; brother, David (Gloria), Woodmans Point; step - children, Mark Bartlett, Ontario; Debbie Bartlett, Saint John; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Barbara (Cullen), and sister, Marion Wills. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West, (634-1701) private visitation and funeral service will take place.
