SMITH, GEORGE EDWARD - The passing of George Smith of Perth-Andover occurred on September 26, 2008 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 87. Born in Licford, NB he was the son of the late Alfred and Florence Smith. George is survived by one son, Leslie (Myrna) Smith of Perth-Andover; three daughters, Judith (Will) Rogers of Charity, Missouri, Laureen (Bill) Brayall of Fredericton and Marsha (Winston) Golder of Moncton; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; two brothers Ron Smith of Perth-Andover and Allan (Mardi) Smith of Caldwell Brook; two sisters, Laura Hansen of Perth-Andover and Olive O'Neil of Fredericton. He was predeceased by his parents, wife, Pearl Smith, one grandson, two brothers, Carroll and Howard. Resting at White's Funeral Home, Perth-Andover with visiting hours on Tuesday, September 30th from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 1st at 11 am from White's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jason Hinsdale officiating. Interment in Perth-Andover United Baptist Cemetery.
