ROSSIGNOL, RITA - At Hotel-Dieu of Saint Joseph Hospital, Perth-Andover, September 28, 2008, Mrs. Rita Rossignol of Anderson Road passed away at the age of 87 years. She was the wife of the late Wilfred Rossignol. Born at Saint-Andre in 1921, she was a daughter of the late David and Alice (Levesque) Poitras. Mrs. Rossignol was formerly a member of the Plaster Rock Daughters of Isabella. She is survived by her daughters and sons, Florence Rossignol of Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska, Percy (Donna) of Miramichi, Therese (Jerry) Freeman of Moncton, Gerald (Jane) and Alice Rossignol of Anderson Road, Phillip (Judy) of Oshawa, Ontario, Anne-Marie (Robert) Francoeur of New Denmark, Charles of Oshawa, Roland (Kathy) and Diana Rossignol of Anderson Road and Colette (John) Goodine of Tilley; daughter-in-law, Cecilia Rossignol (late Romeo) of Anderson Road; 34 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; one sister, Gertrude Campeau of Lachute, Quebec; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lucille in August 2005 and a son, Romeo in February 2008. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting hours Thursday, October 2nd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. On Friday, October 3rd, Mrs. Rossignol will be resting in the Saint Theresa's Roman Catholic Church, Anderson Road from 12:30 to 2 pm., at which time her funeral service will be held with Father Curtis Sappier officiating.
