CEDRIC JOSEPH LOSIER
LOSIER, CEDRIC JOSEPH - Cedric Joseph Losier passed away peacefully on Monday October 6, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Losier Settlement, NB in 1931, he was the son of the late Edmund and Rachel (McGraw) Losier. Cedric leaves behind his loving wife of 55 years, Edith (Richard) Losier and four beloved children David Losier (Betty) of Saint John, Michael Losier of Victoria, BC, Dianne Savoy (Ernie) of Saint John and Denise Losier (Ron Mawhinney) of Saint John; two grandchildren Jeffrey and Cecilia Losier; brothers Edgar Losier of Bathurst, Arthur Losier (Kay) of Grand Bay-Westfield and Gerald Losier of Pont Landry; two sisters Eugenie Godin of Tracadie and Delia Beaucage of Montreal; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Alyre Losier and Leo Losier; four sisters Laura Comeau, Simone Basque, Melodia Boudreau and Dena Breau. Cedric retired from Irving Pulp and Paper after 41 years of service. He was a very active member of Knights of Columbus Council # 9176 Grand Bay and very involved in his church, St. Matthew's Parish in Grand Bay. We will certainly remember the fun of Cedric playing Santa Claus at the Christmas Parties. He also loved to play the part of Santa to many children's parties. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday October 7, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Matthew's Church on Wednesday October 8, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. A private family interment will take place in St. Augustine's Cemetery at a later date. The family would appreciate donations in memory of Cedric be made to the Palliative Care Unit Saint John Regional Hospital, Extra Mural Program or to the charity of the donor's choice.
