HOLDER, FREDERICK EDWIN - The death of Frederick Edwin Holder of Long Reach, husband of Faye Holder occurred October 7, 2008 at Saint John Regional Hospital. He was born in Long Reach, son of the late Edwin and Gertrude Holder. Fred was a member of Peninsula Branch #62, Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife Faye; one daughter, Linda Parker-Vail (Malcolm McLeod), Long Reach; one son, Edwin Parker (Lisa Madsen), Kingston; two sisters, Freda Sheldrick, Clifton Royal, Betty Ritchie, Saint John; six grandchildren, one great granddaughter, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Byron and Donald Holder. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation 2-4pm and 7-9pm Thursday. A legion tribute will be held Thursday, 7pm at the funeral home. The funeral will be held Friday, 11:00am at Long Reach United Church with Rev. Elizabeth Stevenson officiating.
