ELLEN MAE BORTHWICK

BORTHWICK, ELLEN MAE - Unexpectedly, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on October 14, 2008, Mrs. Ellen Mae (Bradford) Borthwick, wife of Mr. Glendon Borthwick of Pennfield NB. Born at Blacks Harbour, NB on June 28, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Myles and Alma Mae (Wade) Bradford. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband, Glendon, she is survived by three sons; Stephen Borthwick of Woodstock, NB, Tommy (Patti) Borthwick of Utopia, NB and Garth (Dolores) Borthwick of Pennfield; one daughter, Sally (Timmy) Richard of Pennfield; 10 grandchildren; Brian, Lindsey, Andrew, Raelene, Mitchell, Cody, Michael, Tyler, Kendra, and special grandson, Joshua; four great grandchildren, two sisters; Bertha (Irving) Muise and Floretta Perreault both of Pennfield, one brother, Myles Bradford of Toronto, ON and several nieces, nephews and couins. Ellen was predeceased by two brothers; Chipman and Theodore and by two sisters; Deannie Thorne and Lillian Guitard. Prior to her retirement, Ellen worked in the cafeteria at Fundy High School, St. George, NB for 25 years. She was completely devoted to her family and loved being a grandmother. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting in her spare time. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home & Crematorium (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George, NB with visiting held on Wednesday 7 to 9 pm and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The service will be held on Friday at 2:00 pm from Christ Church (Anglican) at Pennfield NB with interment to follow at the Church Cemetery. In Ellen's memory donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Association or the NB Lung Association would be greatly appreciated by the family. (www.stgeorgefh.ca)
