PATTERSON, MABEL (MURIEL) BARRETT - Surrounded by her family Mabel (Muriel) Barrett Patterson (nee Keir), 85, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2008 at The Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto, ON. Mabel was born in Dundee, Scotland on May 2, 1923, daughter of the late Andrew and Cecilia (Barrett) Keir. She is survived by her children; Sylvia and husband Alton, Roberta, Andrew and wife Carole, and Alice; brother, Johnny; sister, Peggy. Mabel will also be lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Besides her parents Mabel was predeceased by her husband, William Patterson; brother, Andy and sister, Sissy. Both Mabel and William were veterans of WWII. Mabel lived in New Brunswick before moving to Ontario. Visitation will be held at The Carleton Funeral Home 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville, NB on Friday, October 24 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will held on Saturday, October 25 from The Carleton Funeral Home Chapel at 11 AM. Interment will be in the Lenentine Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice. There will be a Legion Service on Friday Evening at 6:45 at the funeral home.
