HANSON, BRITNEY ALEXANDRA - Britney Alexandra Hanson was granted her angel wings on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 after a lifelong illness. Her final days were spent surrounded by her family and friends that Britney had touched in some small way throughout her short, yet very memorable life. Britney's life would seem short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. Her gentle smile could melt the hearts of those around her. Britney would spend hours, painting her nails, doing her hair or just talking with her friends. With Britney's passing we remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. Although we will miss her everyday, she will always remain in our hearts. Britney leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced her quality of life. There is a special place in our hearts for, Debbie, Muriel, Mike, Nancy, Sue, Tina and Krista and all of the staff of 4AS. Britney is survived by her loving parents, John and Mary Hanson, brother Zach Corrier, great grandparents, Ken and Betty Cole, Agnes Belyea, grandparents Caroline Burhoe, Ron (Ster) Draper, Jim and Donna Daly, Aunts and Uncles Greg and Betty Melanson, Jason Draper, Ryan Draper, Ronda Draper and Peter Case, Jim Daly and Melissa Parks, Carrie Daly and John White, Tara Daly, Anne Marie and Peter Main, Ralph Hanson, Ronnie Hanson, Kenny Hanson and Wayne Hanson and several nieces, nephews, cousins and great aunts and uncles. The gates of heaven were being held open for Britney by great grandparents Joyce and Myles Draper, and grandparents Evelyn and Ronald Hanson. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held from Brenan's Chapel on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 10 am. Interment in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
