VENIOT, BERNARD "SONNY" - Bathurst - Bernard "Sonny" Veniot, 82, of York St, Bathurst, passed away on Wednesday (October 22, 2008), at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst. Born in Bathurst, he was the son of the late Francis and Francetta (Thibodeau) Veniot. Sonny owned and operated the former Veniot Pharmacy in Bathurst, until his retirement and was a member of the Pharmaceutical Society of New Brunswick and was active in the Bathurst Genealogy Society. Besides his wife, Marion (Fraser) Veniot, he is survived by: two sons, Charles of Bathurst, William "Bill" of Sackville, NB; one daughter, Elizabeth Wood (Brent) of Bathurst; two sisters, Catherine "Sis" David and Connie LeBlanc, both of Bathurst; one granddaughter, Emily; several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by an infant son; Bernard Francis. There will be no visitation at the Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday morning (October 27, 2008) at 11:00 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Cathedral, Bathurst. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
