MANZER, HENRY - 1923-2008 - Henry Manzer of Hillandale passed away peacefully at his home on October 24, 2008. Born in Carlinford, NB, on April 19, 1923, he was the son of the late Boyd and Elizabeth (Till) Manzer. Henry leaves behind his daughters Bessie McLaughlin (Roger) of Kingston Peninsula, NB, Shirley Headspeth (Melvin) of Caribou, ME, Lorna Longstaff (Robert) of Knoxford; his sons Fred Manzer (Hope) of St. Catherines, ON, Danny Manzer (Delores) of Perth-Andover, Steve Manzer of Burlington, ON; 18 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren. Henry was a custodian at the Andover Elementary School, a veteran of WWII, and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #36. He was predeceased by his wife Sarah Manzer in 2007. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 2 pm from Brunswick Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Helene Burns officiating. Interment will be in Presbyterian Cemetery. There will be a Legion Memorial Service held at the funeral home on Sunday at 7:30 pm.
