VAIL, ALLEN DREW - The death of Allen Drew Vail, loving spouse to Joan Dykeman occurred on October 26, 2008 at The Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1960 in Saint John he was the son of Winnifred Redfern and the late Arnold Vail. Allen worked as a carpenter for many years and was an avid woodsman. Besides his mother and spouse he is survived by three sons James Vail of Ottawa, A.J. and Joel Vail both of Saint John; brothers Lee Vail (Charlotte) of Brown's Flat, Brent Vail (Julie) of Grand Bay-Westfield; sisters Phyllis Richards (Donald) of Central Greenwich, Anne London (David) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Lynn Bailey (Robin) of Central Greenwich, Brenda Richards (Tom) of Jones Creek and Jackie Beckett (David) of Brown's Flat; grandchildren Adrianna, Brayden and Ariel as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Following cremation a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday October 29, 2008 at The Greenwich Legion Branch #87, 50 Olinville Road at 2 p.m. Visitations will be held from 11a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Anglican Cemetery, Oak Point. A reception will follow the interment at The Greenwich Legion.
