LUCY MARIE BLACQUIERE

BLACQUIERE, LUCY MARIE - The death of Lucy M. (Doucette) Blacquiere of Saint John West occurred peacefully at her residence on Sunday, October 26, 2008. Born in East Collette on July 6, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Edmee (Melanson) Doucette. Lucy worked in the housekeeping department at the former D.V.A. Hospital and the Saint John Regional Hospital, retiring in 1998. Lucy enjoyed walking the Irving Nature Trail especially the Chickadee Trail. She is survived by her two sons: Ronald (Annette) Blacquiere of Saint John West, and Roger Blacquiere at home, brother: Rheal (Elda) Doucette of Collette, five sisters: Lena (Eugene) Doucette of Collette, Elva Bourque of B.C., Lorette (Donn) Parker of Florida, Claudelle St. Coeur of Neguac, and Annette (Gerald) Doucette of Mass., as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by sisters Rena Savoie, Dora Bourque, Velma Bourque, and Rosella Doucette. Resting at Castle "Fallsview" Funeral Home, 309 Lancaster Ave. (634-1701). Visiting on Wednesday from 2 to 4, 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will take place on Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:30 p.m. from Fallsview Chapel. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery.
