It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mima Wight (nee: Benson) announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing on Friday, January 4, 2008. She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth and Edward, husband Norman Wight, brothers: Dave and Gehu, and sister Annie Baker. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children Elizabeth of Halifax, Norma (Lawrence) Joy of Stephenville Crossing and Brian (Barb) of Deer Lake; siblings Tom (Violet) of Hillview, Elizabeth Green of Clarenville and brother-in-law Howard and Eva Wight of Deer Lake. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Clinic Drive, Deer Lake on Monday from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place from St. Michaels and All Angels Anglican Church in Deer Lake on Tuesday, January 8th at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. John Meade officiating. Interment will follow at the Interdenominational Cemetery in Deer Lake. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
