They moved to Lower Perth in 1952 and bought the house on Beech Glen Road where they remained. Ralph and Freda were members of the Reformed Baptist Church. Lately, Freda was the missionary president of the Perth-Andover Wesleyan church for many years. She put a lot of work and creativity into her programs. She was an avid reader and researcher. Lighthouses, churches, geography and royalty were some of her favorite topics. She had a thirst for knowledge and a memory for details. Freda was a lover of all beauty around her, whether in nature, literature, art, or music. She enjoyed photography and loved Scrabble and could spell amazing words. Freda was a keen researcher of family heritage. She had a tremendous memory for dates and family history. She was proud of her MacInnes Scottish heritage and the Steeves family name. In later years, she enjoyed the Keenagers activities and working on her computer. Her pets were her joy and she loved cats. Max was her recent cat. Freda believed in faithfulness to her family and her God. She was true to her convictions and was willing to sacrifice for and to work hard. Her ideals and values live on in those she loved so much.
