HAMILTON, BRUCE W. - The death of Bruce W. Hamilton, 60 of Quispamsis; husband of Pauline (LeBlanc) Hamilton occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Friday October 31, 2008 after a courageous battle with cancer. Besides his loving wife of 32 years, Bruce is survived by two daughters Sara Hamilton of Saint John and Tara Nixon (Michael) of Quispamsis; one granddaughter Olivia Nixon of Quispamsis; one step-granddaughter Casey; six brothers Jack (Cookie), Barry (Nancy), Brian (Lisa), Robert, Paul (Debbie) and Gordon (Angie); one sister Ann Keating (Paul); many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. Bruce worked at the Lantic Sugar Refinery for 27 years retiring upon its closure in 2001. He spent the past 7 years doing the thing he loved the most; hunting with the boys, fishing with his devoted wife (on their island) and spending time with his cherished granddaughter Olivia. Visitation for the family will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) on Monday November 3rd, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Memorial service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday November 4th, 2008 at 3:30 p.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery.
