It is with deep sadness that the family of Nina Lavers Roy, born to Robert and Nora Lavers in Port Saunders on April 4, 1929, announces her passing on February 17, 2008, at the Credit Valley Hospital, Mississauga, Ontario. A memorial service and burial of ashes will take place in Port Saunders at a later date. She is mourned with fond and loving memories by her children Nancy (Harry) and Craig Roy, grandchildren Alexander and Simon (Heidi) Tanguay, great grandson Shawn Tanguay, sisters Kay (Warrick, deceased), Mary, Lillian, Imelda (Austin), Rita (Roy) as well as brothers Raymond (Agnes), Melvin (Dolly). She is predeceased by husband Marcel Roy and brothers Mose (Ella), Joseph (Mildred) and Matthew (Pauline).
