JAMES TALBERT FOSTER
FOSTER, JAMES TALBERT - The death of Mr. James T. Foster, husband of Pauline (nee Dixon) (Hersey) Foster of Milford occurred at his residence on November 7, 2008. Mr. Foster was born in Saint John on June 29, 1916, the son of the late Agnes Victoria (Northrup) and Charles Burpee Foster. Mr. Foster retired from NB Tel in 1981. He enjoyed trailering and was an avid bowler, as well as skating to music. He and Pauline enjoyed dancing at the many RCL dances. He had served in the Army with the heavy artillery. Surviving in addition to his wife Pauline are Betty (Buck) Smith, James Jr. (Margaret) Smith, Gary (Louella) Foster, Brian (Wanda) Foster, Ruth Kenny, John (Heather) Foster, step-children; Michael Hersey, Beth (Jerry) Kirkpatrick, and Lori Hersey, several grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, his first wife Helen (Reynolds) Foster, two sisters Eda Maber and Cora Thompson, two brothers Cecil Foster and Albert Foster, grandson Peter Allan Smith, and stepson Paul Hersey. Family and friends are invited to meet at Cedar Hill Extension Cemetery, Field of Honour, on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at 1 p.m. for a graveside service. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Extra Mural Program - Saint John in memory of Mr. Foster would be appreciated by his family. Following the interment, a time of fellowship will take place at the Fallsview Family Reception Centre.
