It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rendell Cornelius Wentzell announce his sudden passing at the Bonne Bay Health Centre in Norris Point, on Monday, May 5th. 2008 in his 80th year, leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his family: wife, Hazel (nee Ethridge), his children: Douglas (Effie), Marion (Peter), Mildred (Macavoy) and Jocelyn, his nine grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, his sisters and brother: Harriet (Asaph Caines), Geraldine (Alexander House), Claudia, Bertha, and Clyde (Sylvia). Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rendell was predeceased by his mother and father, Mae and Cornelius Wentzell. The family will be receiving family and friends from St. Josephs Anglican Church in Portland Creek, today Wednesday, May 7th. 2008, from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9 pm. where also the funeral service will take place from on Thursday, May 8th. 2008 at 2 pm with the Rev. James Pratt officiating with the Burial to follow at the Church Cemetery in Portland Creek. The funeral arrangement are under the direction of Parsons Funeral Home, 63 North Main Street, Deer Lake.
