MONAHAN, CLARA VERONICA - The death of Clara Veronica (Cummings) Monahan, age 92, of Apohaqui, NB, occurred at her residence on Tuesday, November 25, 2008. She was born on December 18, 1915, in Norton, NB. Clara was the wife of the late Howard Monahan and daughter of the late Vincent and Rose (Curran) Cummings. She is survived by her daughters; Anne Marie (David) Corbett of Apohaqui, Mary Claire (Derm) Murphy of Apohaqui, sons; Joseph (Donna) of Sussex, Michael (Shirley) of Fredericton, Brian (Beverley) of Drury's Cove, Maurice (Suzanne) of Hampton, 16 grandchildren; Christine (Jonathon) Moffett, Meaghan (Michael) Hayes and Cari Rose Corbett, Colleen, Michelle, Molly and John Monahan, Benjamin and Zoe Monahan, Patrick, Maureen, Lindsey, Kelly and Alison Murphy, Ashley and Jared Monahan, brother; Eugene (Evelyn) Cummings, sisters-in-law; Margaret Cummings, Doris Monahan and Angela Monahan, brother-in-law; Robert Monahan, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Clara was predeceased by her sons; Vincent and Gerald, sister; Marguerite Cummings, brothers; Fred, Patrick, Ronald, Donald, and Harold. Resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Thursday from 3 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Francis Xavier Church, 114 Church Ave., Sussex, at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 28, 2008. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Norton, NB.
