BASS, MARY A. - Passed away peacefully at the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst, NB following a brief illness on Wednesday 3 December 2008 at the age of 87. She was predeceased by her husband Charles E. Bass January 18, 1988. Born in Bathurst, she was the daughter of the late Alan Boudreau and the Late Rita (Doucet) Boudreau. She was an active member of the ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Herman J. Good, Branch #18, and the Catholic Women's League. Mary is survived by her children; Bill (Gaby) Bass,Judith (Leo) Audet, Sandra (late Ken) Scott, Stephen (Marg) Bass, all of Bathurst. Ron (Jill)Bass of Edmonton, AB, Eric "Joe" (Jane) Bass of Red Deer, AB., 23 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Norman Boudreau of Montreal, QC., Ben Boudreau of Belleville, ON., two sisters,Flo Thériault of Dewittville, QC., Angela(Charles)Lajeunesse of Ottawa, ON., Mary also left behind a "sweet little sister" Dolores Doucet of Bathurst. Also, her very best and dearest friend Lorraine Stevens of Bathurst. Bothers Paul (her twin), Alan, John and a sister Bernadine Huddleston predeceased her. There will be no visitations at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held from the Elhatton Funeral Home Chapel, 187 St. George Street in Bathurst on Saturday 6 December 2008 at 11:00 am. In memory of Mary, donations maybe made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Chaleur Regional Hospital in Bathurst.
