JOSEPH URBAN CHARLES DEVEREAUX
DEVEREAUX, JOSEPH URBAN CHARLES - Of Belledune, New Brunswick died peacefully, December 7, 2008 at the Moncton City Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Charles (Charlie) touched many people's lives and will be remembered by many as "the telephone man". He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh, and he loved making people laugh. He is remembered as a story / joke teller "extraordinaire". He also loved a good prank and he planned and executed many. He is also remembered for his tremendous talent as a guitar player and singer, who with his band, packed houses all over the north shore of New Brunswick with his unique brand of singing and guitar playing. Charles will be missed by the Shannon card-players, his NBTel Pioneer friends, his Legion friends, and the many, many, who counted him among their friends and family. He will be especially be missed by his daughter Anne Marie and her husband Maurice (Eldridge), as well as her children, Krystle and Ryan Gagne. He will equally be missed by his son Bernard and his wife Cheryl (Hill), and their children, Dylan, Taylor and Sarah. He will also be missed by his brothers and sisters Chester (Betty), Roddy (Jan), Billy (Gerry), Elizabeth Cooke (Jim), Ursula McCallum (Ian), Corrine Mikulak (Steven) and Bobby (Linda) as well as his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Charles was predeceased by his brother Frankie, and by his Mother and his Dad, Urban and Helen (Culligan).
