KILPATRICK, BRYON MICHAEL "SAM" 1954-2008 - It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Bryon on Monday, December 8th, 2008, at the Sussex Health Centre. Born in Calgary, AB, he was the son of Vernon Kilpatrick Sr. of Salt Springs, NB and the late Phyllis (Wilkinson) Kilpatrick. Bryon was employed with Irving Equipment as a crane operator which he loved as much as being a volunteer firefighter. He joined the Upham Fire Department in 1980 and became the Fire Chief in 2008. His passions were working around the yard, building rock walls and pathways. He also pulled tug-of-war for many years. Bryon enjoyed playing baseball, curling and riding his motorcycle. Besides his father, Vernon, Bryon is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Gail (Beard) Kilpatrick, Upham, NB; two daughters, Tera Stevens (Troy), Edmonton, AB, and Kristal Kilpatrick (Joey Anderson), Hampton, NB; one son, Timothy Kilpatrick, at home; two granddaughters, Kayla Stevens and Madelyn Anderson; four sisters, Cheryl Griffin (David), NB, Debbie Guenette (Ron), AB, Patricia Nelson and Judith Sutherland (Troy Mill), both of NB; three brothers, Robert Kilpatrick (Cheryl Cooper), Vernon Kilpatrick Jr. (Sheri) and James Kilpatrick, all of AB; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, NB, (506) 832-5541, with visitation on Wednesday from 7 to 9 pm and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will be held from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Upham, on Friday, December 12th, 2008 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery.
