SHEPARD, MARY ELEANOR - The death of Mary Eleanor Shepard, age 101, occurred on Tuesday December 9, 2008 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1907 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late George Franklin and Clara Ethel (Betts) Philbrick. Mary was a member of the ACW St. Luke's Anglican Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Claire Evans (Gordon) of Sussex; one granddaughter Mary Beth LeBlanc (Steven) of Sarnia, ON; three great grandchildren Mitchell, Jacquie and Lindsey. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband Earle Gordon Shepard, sisters Ruth Esther Philbrick and Sylvia Philbrick, nephew Heath McConnell and brother-in-law John McConnell. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Thursday December 11, 2008 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday December 12, 2008 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
