MURPHY,PATRICIA LAWRENCE - The death of Patricia (Pat) Lawrence Murphy (Landers, nee: Mason) passed away peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home, P.E.I., with all the grace and dignity with which she lived after a courageous battle with cancer, her husband Vern and family at her side. Pat will be fondly remembered and sorely missed by her husband, Vern, her children, Michael (Nancy), Kelli (Rick), both of Ottawa, Chris in Charlottetown and Danny (Dana) in Toronto. Also, by her step - children, Karen (Ken) in Charlottetown and Sean in Toronto. Sharing in the grief of her passing are her sister, Marlene (Bill) Vaughan, brothers, Terry (Mary) Mason and Larry Mason, all of Saint John. Nanny Pat will never be forgotten by her grandchildren, Nick, Liam, Mason, Mac, Ella, Gracie, Jaydon, Avah and Madison. Pat was predeceased by her parents, Lawrence and Margaret (Whipple) Mason, sister, Carole (Seale) and her sister - in - law, Susie (Larry) Mason Her many friends in Saint John, Fredericton, Cape Breton, Ottawa, across Canada and in Boynton Beach, Florida will certainly remember Pat as a former Member of Common Council for the city of Saint John and as an appointed Member of the Veterans Review and Appeal Board in Charlottetown. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 7 -9 p.m. Thursday and 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Friday in Castle Funeral Home "Fallsview Chapel" 309 Lancaster Ave, Saint John West, (634 - 1701) Mass of Christian burial will take place 10 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008. from Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Saint Joseph's Cemetery, Saint John. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 15 at 10 a.m. from Belvedere Funeral Home, 175 Belvedere Ave. Charlottetown. Her positive outlook on life, her knowing advice, her quick smile, her easy laugh and her loving hugs will be remembered by everyone her life touched.
