MCASKILL, GEORGIE - (June 20, 1922 - January 6, 2009) - Georgie McAskill passed peacefully in her home on January 6, 2009 at the age of 86. Born in Plaster Rock, NB she was the daughter of the late John and Ellen Lovean. Georgie is survived by one daughter Pamela and Larry Milbury of Centreville, NB; three sons John McAskill and Patti Yeomans of Saint John, N.B, Paul and Sissy McAskill of Lincoln, N.B, and Dwight McAskill of Plaster Rock, N.B, eight grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; one sister Glenna Levesque of Fort Gibson, Oklahoma, several nieces, nephews and cousins. Predeceased by her loving husband Rev. Philip McAskill, her parents and brother Oscar Lovean. Resting at White's Chapel, Plaster Rock with visiting hours on Thursday January 8th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Friday January 9th at 2 pm from the Plaster Rock Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Oral MacAffee officiating. Interment in the Plaster Rock Community Cemetery later in the spring. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or Free Will Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
