MANZER, MARY C - The death of Mary Manzer of Porter Road, Nauwigewauk, occurred Saturday, January 17th, 2009, after a brief illness. Born in Fredericton in 1914 to Fred and Nettie Allen (Niles), she was married for 73 years to her childhood sweetheart, the late Allan Manzer. Mary is survived by one son, Frederic Manzer (Rene Smythe) of Rothesay; she was much loved and will be sadly missed by her six grandchildren; Cyndy Morris, Dana Manzer, Christa Illman, Tom Manzer, Clare MacLean, and Heidi Manzer; twelve great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandson, and several nieces and nephews. Two sons, Colin (Coke) and an infant son, Ronald Gordon, predeceased her. Arrangements are entrusted to Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with visitation on Monday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, January 20th, 2009 from Reid's Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 AM, with Rev. Mary Wanamaker officiating. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren Cyndy, Dana, Christa, Tom, Clare and Heidi. Interment will be in Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Hammond River, in the spring.
