It is with great sadness that the family of the late Veronica Hynes announce her peaceful passing on Sunday, April 6, 2008 surrounded by her family and niece at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing at the age of 85 years. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Lawrence (Imelda) of Stephenville, daughters: Patsy (Mackie) of Port au Port East, Nena (Henry) of Port au Port East, Annette (Wayne) of Port au Port East, Donna of Stephenville, Brenda (Peter) of Toronto, Marie (Scott) of British Columbia, Darlene (Nish) of Port au Port East, Edna (Dave) of British Columbia, 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Hynes, daughter, Linda, son, Michael Hawco, daughter-in-law, Janet Hawco. Friends may call at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East on Monday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday, April 8 at 2:00 p.m. at the Maria Regina Parish, Port au Port East with Father Terry Boland officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Port au Port East. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Port au Port East Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
