WORTMAN, JOHN WILLIAM - December 13, 1917 - February 11, 2009 - The passing of John Wortman of Wicklow, NB occurred on February 11, 2009 at the Upper River Valley Hospital, Waterville, NB at the age of 91. Born in Maplehurst, NB, he was the son of the late Bliss and Jane (Holmes) Wortman. John is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Gaynell; two daughters, Ruth Williams (Huelett) and Linda Watson (Peter); five grandchildren, Ernest and Marianne Williams, Yvonne Nye (Malcolm), Donna Watson and Randy Watson (Roxanne); six great grandchildren, Rebekah, Thomas, Samuel and Benjamin Nye, Logan and Arleigh Watson; one sister, Annie Stevenson; one brother, Vaughan Wortman and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at the Wicklow United Baptist Church on Thursday, February 12, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2009 at 2:00 pm. Rev Toben Steeves and Rev. Rick Murray officiating. Interment will be in the Wharton Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetic Association.
