SPIECE, HELEN E. - The death of Helen E. Spiece of Hampton, widow of David Spiece occurred February 13th, 2009 at WhiteHall Special Care Home, Kingston. She was born in Brantford, ON, daughter of the late George and Jessie (Garrett) Davidson. Helen was a resident of Brantford, ON the greater part of her life, moving to Hampton ten years ago. She was a proud member of the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service during WWII. Helen enjoyed friendships she made at the Hampton Seniors Resource Centre and Hampton Legion Seniors Group. She was an avid gardener and rug hooker. She is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Peel (Colin), Passekeag; two grandchildren, Sarah and Callum Peel; and several nieces and nephews. There will be no visitation by request. The funeral will be held Tuesday, 11am, at Reid's Funeral Home, 1063 Main Street, Hampton, with Rev. Leo Martin officiating.
