BAIRD, DONALD MELVIN - Passed away unexpectedly, on Monday, February 16, 2009 at his residence. Born on November 24, 1938 he was the son of Christina (Dickson) Baird and the late Daniel Baird. Husband of Sandra (Dunham) Baird. Donald worked for the Local 502 IBEW for over 50 years. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting and spending time at his summer residence in Evandale. Surviving, in addition to his wife, of 49 years and mother are his three daughters, Susan (Steve) Porter, Patty Williston (Ken) and Jody (Raymond Joyce); two brothers, Jack (Dorothy) and Harold (Bev); sister, Jean Reed; sister-in-law, Carol (Harold) Price; four grandchildren, Nathan and Meghan Williston, Isaac Porter, Jonathan Baird and also, Leisha and Lillian Joyce and several nieces and nephews. Besides his father he was predeceased by his brother Norman. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West, (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, February 19, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. from Castle Funeral Home.
