RANSON, ALFRED - The death of Alfred Ranson occurred at his residence on Wednesday February 18th, 2009. Born January 11th, 1941, he was the son of the late Wallace and Jeanette (White) Ranson Surviving are his loving wife of 43 years Marguerite Ranson; his children, Christine (Bruce) Smith, Saint John; Shelley Ann (Robert) Finck, Moncton; Shawn (Tricia) Ranson, Ontario; a brother Kenny (Rose) Ranson; sisters, Pauline McKay, Bonnie (Ed) Gardiner, Gail Poirier (Clifford), Ann Marie (Sandy) McDougall; cherished grandchildren, Justin and Courtney Smith, Austin Ranson, Trevor Finck. Besides his parents, brother Wayne, Paul and Joseph, predeceased Alfred. Alfred was a member of Simonds Lion Club for many years. He was a loyal member of St. Joachim's Parish. Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John (646-2424). At Alfred's request there will be no visitation or funeral services. Interment will be in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory of Alfred can be made to the I.W. K., Extra Mural Program, or to a charity of donor's choice.
