OLDE DAMINK, HENDRIKUS JOHANNUS "HENK" - The death of Henk olde Damink of Saint John North, husband of the late Aagje "Agnes" (Jansen) olde Damink occurred on Thursday February 26th, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital after a period of failing health. He was born at Losser, Holland, June 4th, 1916, son of the late Hendrikus J. and Aleida Johanna (Klieverik) olde Damink. He had come to Saint John in 1951 and had been a registered nurse by profession and was employed at Saint John General and Regional Hospital for over 33 years, retiring in 1985. Henk was a member of St. Pius X Parish. He is survived by one son, H. George (Donna) of Saint John; one daughter, Johanna A. "Nancy" Koziol (Anthony "Tony") of Ottawa, ON; three sisters in-law: Johanna Bailey of Saint John, NB and Hilda Jansen and Charlotte Mersereau (Vince) of Grand Bay-Westfield; seven grandchildren: Andrew (Lori), Donnie, Lia, Daniel, Adam, Lisa and Mary; two nieces; one nephew and several great nephews and nieces. Besides his parents and wife Agnes, Henk was predeceased by one brother, Jan; one sister, Lien and a granddaughter Angela. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (634-7424), with visiting on Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Pius X Church, on Monday, March 2nd, 2009 at 11 am with Rev. Douglas McNeill celebrating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
