MATTHEWS – Agnes Ross
October 27, 1918 – February 5, 2009
Agnes was born in Regina, October 27, 1918 and passed away at Mont St. Joseph Home in Prince Albert, SK on February 5, 2009. Agnes will be dearly missed by her best friend and husband Rev. John Matthews; her brother Ross (Violet) Greig of Calgary and numerous nieces and nephews. Agnes was predeceased by her father David Greig; her mother Jean Greig and her sister Rita Giles. As a young woman, Agnes worked for the RCMP in Regina. She and John were married June 15, 1950 and Agnes became a wonderful support to John as he served in various Churches in Manitoba, Saskatoon, Fort McMurray, Chemainus, BC, Nipawin and finally Prince Albert where they eventually retired. Agnes was renowned for her hospitality, good sense of humour, wonderful meals, interest in people and her pet dogs. Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Mont St. Joseph Chapel, 777 – 28th Street East, Prince Albert, SK. In lieu of other tributes, memorial donations can be made to Mont St. Joseph Foundation. Condolences may be sent to the family at .
