VAUGHN HOSSACK
HOSSACK, VAUGHN - Vaughn L. Hossack passed peacefully, surrounded by his loving family at the Saint John Regional Hospital on March 7th, 2009 after failing health. Born in 1922 in Williamsburg, NB to the late Robert and Sarah (Dorcas) Hossack. Vaughn was a WWII Veteran serving in the army. He was a member of the Kings Valley Wesleyan Church. Active in the church, he was a member of the Board and enjoyed working with the Meals On Wheels Program for many years. Vaughn was an auto mechanic by trade, working first with Harvey Ellis and then with Arnold Ellis at Ellis Sales and Motors and later at Mile House Sales, retiring in 1987. He was renown for his ability to fix and repair Volks Wagons, serving many years as a service manager. Vaughn is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elizabeth "Beth" (Pringle) of Rothesay; three sons, Laurie (Glenda) of Rothesay, Gregory (Karen) of Grand Bay-Westfield, and John (Pamela) of Saint John; a sister, Doreen Hallett of Ottawa, ON; seven grandchildren, Travis, Neil, Craig, Stephanie, Shelley, Jill, and Lori; ten great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents, Vaughn was predeceased by a daughter, Dawn; sister, Reva Thibodeau; and brothers, Dell, Ross, Robert, and Roy. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424) with visitation on Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from the Kings Valley Wesleyan Church, 332 Hampton Road, Quispamsis, on Wednesday, March 11th, 2009 at 11:00 am, reception to follow.
