PIERRE-PAUL "PP" SIMONEAU
SIMONEAU, PIERRE-PAUL "PP" - It is with great sadness the family of Pierre-Paul Simoneau of Saint John, announce his passing on Friday, March 6th, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital with his family by his side. Born 1941 in LaBaie Du Febvre to the late Roch and Alexandrina (Trottier) Simoneau. Pierre-Paul worked for over 34 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator working with Barrington Industrial, a division of Irving Equipment, retiring in March 2002. He was member of Our Lady of Assumption Church, K of C 4th Degree Council 6770, Operating Engineers Union Local # 946 and the 30 up Club. Devoted father, pappy, brother, uncle and friend, he will be missed by many. Pierre-Paul is survived by two sons, Jean-Pierre of St. Jerome, QC and Michel (Deanna) of Saint John; daughters, Joane Simoneau (Mike) and Chantal Simoneau, both of Saint John; three precious grandchildren, Tommy, Alexandrina and Nicholas; brothers, Jean Noel (Yolande) of St. Joachim, QC and Norman (Lise) of LaBaie Du Febvre, QC; sisters Marie Claire LaChance (Gerard), Huguette Bellerose (Roger), both of Drummondville, QC and Nicole Simoneau of Nicolet, QC; special companion Freda Rogers of Saint John; several nieces, nephews and many friends. Besides his parents Pierre-Paul was predeceased by two brothers Roland and Charles Andre. Resting at the Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. (646-2424) with visitation on Friday, March 13th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from Our Lady Of Assumption Church, 360 Dufferin Row West Saint John, on Saturday, March 14th, 2009 at 11:00 am. Private family interment will be held at St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
