HUGGARD, MIRIAM JOSEPHINE - The death of Miriam Josephine Huggard, age 99, of Boston, Massachusetts and formerly of Norton, NB, occurred at Massachusetts General Hospital, on March 9, 2009. Miriam was the daughter of the late Richard and Alma (Somerville) Huggard. Born in Norton, New Brunswick, Canada, Miriam was a 1931 graduate of the Massachusetts General Hospital Training School of nursing and she spent her entire professional career working there. For many of those years she was the Director of Phillips House. She is survived by her brother Murray in Ohio; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Walter, Earl, Russell, Harold, Leonard and Don; sisters Gertrude, Rita and Anne. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Midland Cemetery in Norton, NB.
