ROBERTSON, BRUCE M. - The death of Bruce Murray Robertson, age 80, husband of Bobbie (Crouse) Robertson, of Springfield, NB, occurred at the Sussex Health Centre on Tuesday, March 10, 2009. He was born in Kars, NB, on July 2, 1928, the son of the late Harry and Annie (Smith) Robertson. He is survived by his wife; sons Frank and Janice of Midland, Robbie and Akiko of Japan and Jeff and Heidi of Kingsley, NB; daughters Margaret Ann and Tony Melanson of Eastern Passage, NS and Sarah and Tim Carpenter of Bright, ON; grandsons Scott Robertson, Spencer and Sammy Carpenter and Mitch Melanson; granddaughters Sydney Carpenter, Emily Robertson and Courtney Melanson; brother Herbert and Donna Robertson of Saint John; sister Dot Getchell of Houlton, Maine; sisters-in-law Jean Robertson, Merle Robertson and Barbara Robertson; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by sisters Phyllis Robertson, Fern Bond, Vera Morrell, Clara Pazia, baby Blanche Robertson; brothers Leslie, Edgar, Paul, Harry, Ernest, George, Harold, Gordon, David and Lorne Robertson. He is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB., with visiting Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2009, at 3:00 p.m., from Hatfield Point Baptist Church.
