DAVIS, REGINALD CHARLES - The passing of Reginald Charles "Reg" Davis of Stanley, NB, husband of Lois (Mahoney) Davis, occurred on March 13, 2009 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital. Born on November 11, 1933 in Port Elgin, NB, he was the son of the late Arthur and Frona (Dobson) Davis. He was a member of Hillcrest United Church in Stanley. He graduated from the NB Technical Institute in 1955 and UNB in 1978 with his Bachelor of Teaching. Reg retired in 1991 after teaching for 35 years at Stanley High School. He was an avid hunter and a Jack of All Trades and Master of Most. In addition to his wife, Lois, Reg is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Davis (Andre Vincent) of Halifax, NS; daughter-in-law, Mary Davis of Quispamsis, NB; seven grandchildren, Katie, William, James, Peter and Thomas Davis ; Luke and Julie Anna Vincent; sisters, Eleanor Booth of Moncton, NB, Elizabeth Mountain (Mitchell) of Ottawa, ON and Cheryl Davis (Don McCue) of Quispamsis, NB; brothers, Douglas Davis (Judy) of Moncton, NB and Donald Davis (Lillian) of Port Elgin, NB and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Reg was predeceased by his son, Bill Davis and brother-in-law, Eddie Booth. Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm then Jones Funeral Home, Port Elgin, NB on Monday, March 16, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will take place at Trinity United Church, Port Elgin, NB on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at 11am. Interment will take place in Fernwood Cemetery, Port Elgin at a later date.
