BARKER, FREDA ANN (NEE PELKEY) - The death of Freda Barker, age 92, wife of the late George Barker occurred at the Kennebec Manor, Saint John, NB on March 15th, 2009. She was born in Woodstock, October 26th, 1916, daughter of Felix and Julia (Mooers) Pelkey. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Gerald) Spragg, grandchildren, Gregg (JoAnn) Antworth, Burlington, ON, Kelly Hebert, Quispamsis, NB, Bliss Roberts, Saint John, NB, Neil Antworth, Renforth, NB, and 9 great grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers Eugene, Edward and Goldwin Pelkey, several nieces and nephews. She is resting at Kilcollins Funeral Chapel in Florenceville. Visiting will be Tuesday, March 17th, 2009 from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, March 18th, 2009 at 1 pm from the Funeral Chapel. Interment will take place at the Wicklow Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Wicklow United Baptist Church or to the Alzheimer Society.
