LOVE, ELEANOR "JOAN" - Passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at her residence in Rothesay, NB. Born on August 13, 1931 in Woodstock, NB she was the daughter of the late Hazen and Marion (McLaughlin) Tompkins, of Bath,NB. Wife of the late George JM Love (RCMP). She was a loving mother, doting grandmother and always followed in her grandchildren's activities, such as, speed skating, soccer, school activities, etc. Joan loved "eating out", road trips and her cats, Levi, Vinnie and Pebbles. She will be sadly missed by her daughter, Elizabeth "Beth" Smith (Joe), of Saint John; grandchildren, Erin and Scott Smith, who affectionately called her Noanie; brother, Kent (Elaine) Tompkins, of Bath, NB and several nieces and nephews. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Wednesday, March 18, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, 2009 from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will be at Ocean View Memorial Gardens at a later date.
