HILL, EVELYN LEORA (GEE) - It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Leora (Gee) Hill of Saint John on Friday, March 20th, 2009, following a brief illness. She was 83. She was born in Summerfield, Carleton County, daughter of the late Edward and Ruby (Antworth) Brown. She was a devoted and faithful mother and grandmother. She loved the sunshine, card games, and a good joke. She worked for several companies, including Simms and Reitmans. She is survived by her daughters, Nina Sabin (Richard) and Skana Gee (David Whynacht); four grandchildren, Andrew (Tiffany Harrity) Sabin and Lynn (Cory Gotell) Sabin, and Griffin and Tova Whynacht; sister, Annie Green of Bristol, NB; brother, George Brown of Thomasville, Florida, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, LeRoy Hill, and brother, Maurice Brown. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Saturday, March 21st, 2009 from 7 to 9 pm and Sunday, March 22nd, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A funeral service will take place on Monday, March 23rd, 2009 at 10:00 am from Castle Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Ext. Cemetery, in the spring. There will be a reception at the Fallsview Family Reception Center, following the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society and Carleton-Kirk United Church.
