COOK, GUILFORD RICHARD - At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB, on March 21, 2009, Mr. Guilford Richard Cook, husband of Mrs. Elinor (Kinney) Cook of Back Bay NB. Born at Back Bay on December 5, 1929, he was a son of the late Jesse and Pansey (Taylor) Cook. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, in addition to his wife Elinor, he is survived by one son, Scott (Crystal) Cook of St. George NB, one daughter, Joan (Richard) Beek of St. George, grandchildren; Christie Lynn Beek, Kyle Cook and Alex Cook all of St. George, one sister, Helena Cooke of Back Bay, one brother, Blois Cook of Back Bay, several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by brothers; Eldon, Donald, Kingston, Walter and infant brother, Reid, and by two sisters; Beulah Mitchell and Thelma Cook. Prior to his retirement, Guildford worked as a carpenter throughout the province in various construction projects as well as lobster fishing and tending weir. He was an avid musician who loved to play the guitar and sing and had a passion for country and western music. He loved going to the camp in McDougall and enjoyed to be in the company of his friends. He was a great friend to all who knew him. By Guilford's request, there will be no visitation or service at this time. Friends will be welcome to attend a graveside service at the St. George Rural Cemetery at a time and date to be announced. In Guilford's memory, donations to the Charlotte County Hospital Palliative Care Unit, The NB Heart and Stroke Association or the Charlotte County SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
