MACLEAN, ILA ELIZABETH (BETTY) - The death of Ila Elizabeth (Betty) MacLean, age 68, of Norton, NB, formerly of Hatfield Point, NB, occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital, on Sunday, April 5, 2009. She was born on December 21, 1940 in Midland, NB, the daughter of the late Burton and Marguarite (Carlin) Greenslade. Betty is survived by her sons Junior and Roxie MacLean of Norton, and Kevin MacLean of Hatfield Point; daughter Lorna and Gary Perkins of Quispamsis; grandchildren Morgan, Nigel, Jeremy, and Karla; brother Burton and Kathy MacLean of Saint John; a very special Aunt Mabel Greenslade of Craft's Cove; several nieces, nephews and cousins, two aunts and one uncle. She was predeceased by her stepmother Marjorie Greenslade; brother George Greenslade; stepbrother Gerald Bowen; and nephew Bruce Greenslade. She is resting at Sherwood's Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre (839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton, NB, with visiting on Tuesday from 3 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Sherwood's Chapel at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 (see Betty's obit on Sherwood's web site for further information) .
