HUDSON, ELIZABETH (BETTY) - a loving mother and grandmother has passed away peacefully at the Kings Way Care Center on Sunday April 5, 2009. Born on February 23, 1936 in Jarrow, England to the late Jane and William Cooke, she is survived by her husband Thomas Hudson of Hampton, and two children, daughter Deborah Starkey of Rothesay and son Ian (Lori) Hudson of Grand Bay-Westfield and four grandchildren Jessica and Matthew Starkey and Wesley and Abigail Hudson. Betty worked in a sewing factory and a cigarette factory in England, moved to Canada in 1976. She always enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, bowling, spending time with her family and of course watching the golden girls. She will be missed by her family. I guess that is what memories are for. Following cremation, visitations will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) on Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday April 8, 2009 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
