STARKEY, RUTH EILEEN - The death of Ruth Eileen Starkey occurred at the Oromocto Public Hospital on April 14, 2009, at the age of 86. Born in Waterborough, NB, daughter of the late G. Bertfield and Edith Blakney. Retired from Tractors and Equipment Ltd. in 1986. Survived by her daughter, Faye Jeffery of Bagdad; bothers, George Blakney of Stayner, Ont, Ralph Blakney of Sudbury, Ont; grandchildren, Wanda Jeffery of Fredericton, Wayne Jeffery of Maugerville, Michelle Jeffery of Edmonton, Alb, Jeffrey Starkey of Fredericton; Great granddaughter, Shana Betts; Aunt, Eileen Smith of Fredericton. Predeceased by her parents, son, J Paul Starkey and sister, Jean Clayton. At Ruth's request no visitation will be held. A memorial service will be held at Grace Memorial Baptist Church, 536 Northumberland St on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at 3pm. An expression of sympathy donations may be made to the Grace Memorial Baptist Church, First Grand Lake Baptist Church, Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of the donors choice.
