WOOD, BARBARA ANN - of Rothesay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 16, 2009 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, NB she was the daughter of George MacKay, Saint John; and the late Audrey (Bustin) MacKay. Barbara attended Saint John Vocational School and graduated as class valedictorian. In her early years she worked in banking, later becoming a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. In her later years, Barbara enjoyed musical entertainment and developed into a great fan of the "girls". She will be sadly missed by her husband, Frank, sons, Andrew, Saint John, N.B.; Jeffrey, Roberts Creek, B.C.; grandchildren, Bennett, Bradley, Dawson, all of Saint John, and Sasha, Roberts Creek, B.C. Resting at Castle Funeral Home, "Fallsview Chapel", 309 Lancaster Ave., Saint John West (634-1701) visitation will take place on Friday, April 17, 2009 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m.on Saturday, April 18, 2009 from Castle Funeral Home.
