GREEN, JOAN PHYLLIS MARY - Peacefully at the Toronto Western Hospital, on Thursday, April 16th, 2009, Joan passed away surrounded by family and friends including long time friend and colleague, Father Bill Comerford. Joan was born in Sussex, New Brunswick on April 24, 1944. She is the daughter of Phyllis (Murphy) Green and the late Douglas F. Green. She is survived by three sisters, Pauline Thompson (Lawrence) Barbara Gilchrist (Sterling) and Kelly Green-Fillmore (James) and two brothers, Earl Green (Raymonde) and Fraser Green (Beth), as well as several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. Joan was pre-deceased by her brother George Carr. Joan will be missed by all and especially those who benefited from her fervent religious involvement in the Catholic Community of Toronto. Visitation will be at St. Francis Xavier Church, Sussex, New Brunswick (112 Church Avenue) from 9am to 10:45 am on Tuesday, April 21st. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am. Interment at a later date at Ward's Creek Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice would be welcomed.
