LAVOIE, VERA MARGARET - Peacefully at Oromocto Public Hospital, William Duffy Rehabilitation Unit in Oromocto, NB on Sunday, April 26th, 2009, Mrs. Vera Margaret Lavoie (nee Meehan) born in County of Fermanagh, Northern Ireland, age 94 of Fredericton, formerly of Woodstock, New Brunswick. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence (Bus) Lavoie. Vera and Bus were married in 1938 and together they shared 57 years of marriage raising five children, while living in Woodstock. Vera was an avid local talented artist, life member of Catholic Women's League and active in the community. Loving mother of Lawrence (wife Mora predeceased - 2004) of Truro Nova Scotia, Connie Bossence (husband Robert) of Corunna, Ontario, Terry of Calgary, Alberta, Paul of Fredericton, New Brunswick, daughter Denise Bongard, predeceased - 2009 (husband Lyle) of Fredericton New Brunswick. She will be fondly remembered by nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She is survived by two brothers Paul Meehan, Ronald Meehan and one sister Anita Jordan in Ontario. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 30th, 2009 from 2 pm to 5 pm at the Scott Funeral Home, 815 Main St. Woodstock, NB. The funeral service will be held at St. Gertrude's Roman Catholic Church, in Woodstock on Friday, May 1st, 2009 at 10 am with interment at the Calvary Cemetery.
